The 2016 edition of Electric Daisy Carnival in New York came and went in the blink of an eye. Festival attendees roamed around Citi Field looking to getting on rides in carnival square, admiring the new stage productions at Cosmic Meadow, Circuit Grounds, Neon Garden, and witnessing the Kinetic Field Crystal Village for the final time in the United States. As always, Insomniac put up a great show with some of the biggest names in dance music including Afrojack, Eric Prydz, Gouryella,┬áHot Since 82, Kaskade, Nicole Moudaber, and Zedd! In my opinion, Citi Field isn’t a bad place to hold EDC. There were complaints of sound bleeding back in 2013, but I think that was taken care of this year since there was enough space between the stages. If you heard some sound bleed, it was most likely in the middle at carnival square where you can hear a little bit from each stage. Another positive thing about Citi Field is the train station was right in front of the venue. Very convenient if you wanted to attend an afterparty or spend the night at Times Square. Most headliners including myself seemed to enjoy EDC New York 2016 and as long as Insomniac can leave the fans happy and begging for more, EDC will always have a home in the New York area whether it’s Citi Field or MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Here are the five best sets of EDC New York this year:
