After the Pacha New York City location in Manhattan has been unoccupied since January 2016, Glenn Raymond seeks to bring it back to life under a new name called, Mekka.

Raymond submitted a proposal after a plan for FREQ NYC fell through once it was approved and submitted by former Space Ibiza New York owner Antonio Piacquadio in June 2017. The venue includes an art gallery, a “museum of nightlife” and a “dance music hall of fame,” Raymond told RA. A permit has not been issued and a floor plan has not been submitted yet, but the plan is to open sometime in 2018.

The former Pacha location was also home to the legendary Sound Factory and with the city of New York showing support for nightlife, this new five-story nightclub could come to fruition soon.
