Although Moonrise Festival is still trying to make a name for itself in a booming, festival-filled EDM market, this year’s edition appears to be a big hit as dance music fans saw major headliners such as Above & Beyond and Bassnectar. One memorable moment from the festival might have been Knife Party’s ‘special guest’ set where they unveiled their collaboration with Tom Morello, guitarist of metal band, Rage Against The Machine. This is not the first time Knife Party have played their new collab with Morello, having been played at the Kingsday Festival in Amsterdam back in April.

Here is a fan released video of Knife Party and Tom Morello including a second link with better audio debuting their new collaboration:

Back in March, Tom Morello stated via Twitter that Knife Party, Skrillex, and Bassnectar was the new metal.

Bassnectar also tweeted a picture working in the studio with Rage Against The Machine earlier this year.

This is only the second year for Moonrise Festival, however an established following exists all over the East coast. In 2013, the festival was scheduled to be held in Port Covington, Maryland but was later cancelled due to event organizers failing to get the necessary city permits. As for Tom Morello, it was only a matter of time before he tried his luck in electronic music and so far, it appears to be working. Stay posted for more info and the official release of the Knife Party and Tom Morello collab!
