Aaron Gill always had a calling to music. Growing up in Amsterdam, there was never any shortage of fresh electronic music to sink your teeth into. From radio shows to individual tracks, Aaron Gill would listen for his favorite ones. New favorite shows and podcasts would always be recorded, so he could listen to them whenever and however many times he wanted. When he wasn’t at home, he would often frequent record stores, browsing for new stuff all the time. What inspired him was music across all genres. Big techno names back in the day such as Erick Morillo, Fedde Le Grand and Chuckie would sate his House music tastes, while Michael Jackson to this day remains one of the most inspiring artists to him. His music career began not in production, but in DJing.

The show became Aaron Gill’s priority: reading the crowd and playing the right songs to amp people up became his specialty. Eventually, he moved into production a few years later, when he decided his career needed to go in that direction. In the beginning it was just a fun thing to play around with, making different loops and samples, but eventually it became a necessary resource, as he began to distribute the sounds he wanted to his rapid growing fan base. What people love most about his sets are how none of them are ever the same. Each show is different.

“I’ve always been into tech-house and funky stuff. When EDM blew up, I tried to play some of that stuff as well but it didn’t made me happy so I discovered very quick that I had to stick with the sound I started with.”

Aaron Gill is coming off a really strong summer, having played almost every venue/club and festival in Holland. From the Ziggodome & Mysteryland festival in Holland to festivals in Miami, Vegas (XS Club/EDC), Ibiza, Brazil, he truly saw it all, adding tons of wild shows to his belt. On top of it all he had his own concept night (Voyeur) in one of Holland’s biggest venues, and sold it out twice in a row. That, along with also playing in Las Vegas (XS Club) was are considered some of his highlight moments in his career. “Everyone was there, from Diplo to Alesso and Justin Bieber, really a night to remember”.

Currently, Aaron Gill is in Amsterdam for the Amsterdam Dance Event, where he is performing two shows, one during Marcus Schossow’s ‘Code Red’ label party as well as his own concept night, voyeur, which will be on the Friday. With his newest track out under Code Red, titled ‘Sol’, there’s many things to get hyped about! If you’re anywhere in Europe, you should really catch the next flight or train into Amsterdam to catch all the hype from the event. While you’re there, be sure to check out Code Red Label Party for a wild night of electric House music, courtesy of Aaron Gill and many others. Tickets could be found here.
