- Describe Miami’s music scene –
Miami has a very special vibe and character. It is a melting pot of different cultures, which brings together so many different style creating the most amazing energy on the dance floor and makes partying here feel like no other place. I think Miami is in a position for new ideas and our goal with Relic is to accomplish this.
- What is the city missing compared to the rest of the world?
I believe that our city needs a better music community, a lot more support and less hate. I feel like the scene is very divided, In other cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona for example, their scene is really strong. We have to embrace what we are known for. We have so much diversion in culture, food, art, and music that makes us unique from the rest of the major cities in the US.
- What concept are you bringing to your event next Sunday?
A warm but sexy small room environment going back to the basic instinct of intimacy and dancing.
- Describe Relic :
Relic can be described as an object or something kept as a remembrance. Which transcends time through every generation. And what we are trying to do is engrave our part into history by adding our energy, ideas, and music.
- Why did you decide to throw your events at Basement?
Basement has a very special feel to the room. It is tight and cosy (like a basement) so it feels like a house party but is elegant and high-end because it is located in the Edition Hotel. The sound system with out a doubt is one of the best if not the best in Miami. It’s hard to explain, you’ll just need experience the low frequencies going through your body. The high notes traveling through parts of your brains you didn’t even know it existed.
- What kind of music can we expect?
Personally I bring my musical style. A combination of smooth groovy sounds with upbeat tech house rhythms.
