How does one become musically inclined? Dario D’Attis grew up with music being a strong presence in his life. His father, a drummer, raised him with the basics of holding a beat, and appreciation for sound. As he became an adult, he found his own path into dance music. Names such as Djaimin and Mr. Mike, along with “OG” House pioneers Tony Humphries and Todd Terry, taught him the principles of House and dance music. Shortly after, he picked up DJing, at age 18.
Producing came a little later, around 22 years old. It became the next step after understanding how to mix and compile music. He produces House music, but as every producer will tell you, he loves producing many genres. His productions have seen several milestones, including a remix for Camelphat – Cola, as well as a new EP set to release in October under Saved Records (Nic Fanciulli). One track in particular stands above the rest: One of his earlier releases, ‘The Good Old Days’ which he claims changed his life forever.
Dario D’Attis brings his talent for DJing all across Europe. This summer he was super busy with festivals. Eastern Electrics in London, Defected Croatia and Lake Festival in Eindhoven were some of the notable ones. He’s got shows coming up again in Amsterdam, Milan, Krasnodar and London. It’s safe to say that all of Europe is asking for his talent.
