Ile Soniq has just announced the 2015 lineup and it is massive. With last year’s lineup considered average one by many, no one could have anticipated this. At first glance, the sheer amount of talent is overwhelming. Kaskade and deadmau5 alone are two of the biggest names, and yet we’re only at the tip of the iceberg. Throw in Steve Angello, Flosstradamus, Tchami, Showtek, Above & Beyond, Tritonal, (you get the point), things start to get wild. This year will have much to experience for veterans of electronic music festivals and newcomers alike! What it offers us is not only a good time but a chance to broaden our musical tastes. The variety is truly impressive. Looking solely at the Oasis stage on Friday, it is thrilling to see unique performers like Flosstradamus, Die Antwoord and Rae Sremmurd alongside deadmau5 and Kaskade! Every day and every stage has the potential to be a gripping and unique experience. Here are some recommendations for DJs to get excited about:

Bakermat is an experience like no other. This DJ from the Netherlands plays a form of chill, ‘feel good’ house with a clear jazz influence. What is really different about Bakermat is the live saxophone combined with the house music playing. Coupled together, it makes for an energetic party.

Tchami is another DJ who promises a set like no other. Hailing from France, he is at the head of a very different style of house, being dubbed ‘future house’. Keep an open mind with this DJ and you’ll be taken for a journey you’ll never forget.

For those who really want to go hard and rage out, Ile Soniq has brought DVBBS to Montreal. These brothers from Toronto know how to party hard. With sets filled with energy and stomping, expect these two to deliver some heavy bangers for their Montreal neighbors.

Mat Zo is a DJ who has really come a long way. His style has evolved from drum and bass, electro and progressive house to dubstep. Given that he’s on the neon stage, we could expect some heavy stuff. The beauty of Mat Zo however, is you never know what to expect.

This list can go on. Every DJ in this lineup has something serious to bring to Ile Soniq. Names like Steve Angello and Above & Beyond are names everyone knows and will look forward to. But in between the headliners are some truly amazing and talented Djs and performers.

Ile Soniq has something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a unique experience, or the traditional festival party, you’ll find it this year. As if to prove a point, they’ve even booked Kristian Nairn, the actor playing ‘Hodor’ in Game of Thrones. So yeah, they got everyone. Make no mistake; this IS the festival to be at this summer for electronic music lovers.

Rain or shine, Ile Soniq has guaranteed an awesome summer for Montreal.
